What I can say when I'm worried
It can be hard to find the right words. Here are some things you could say to start the conversation:
- β
βSomething has happened and I need to talk to you.β
- β
βI'm worried about something and I don't know what to do.β
- β
βSomeone has said or done something that made me feel uncomfortable.β
- β
βI've seen something online that upset me.β
- β
βI feel unsafe and I need help.β
- β
βMy friend told me something and I'm worried about them.β
Remember:
- You are never in trouble for telling a trusted adult.
- It is never your fault if something bad happened to you.
- If one adult does not help, tell another.
- Childline is always there: 0800 1111 β free and private.
